El jefe de Gobierno porteño, Mauricio Macri, acompañó hoy en Misiones la campaña de los candidatos del Frente Popular Unión PRO, que encabeza el postulante a senador nacional Ramón Puerta y defendió la necesidad de votar a "legisladores independientes para que el Congreso tenga una representación más equilibrada y la democracia funcione mejor". Durante una visita a la ciudad de Posadas, Macri compartió un almuerzo con militantes de la juventud del PRO y encabezó una recorrida por la costanera de la capital provincial, acompañado por Puerta y por otros candidatos partidarios locales. Macri recordó que Puerta es una figura política de "gran experiencia parlamentaria que siempre ha sobresalido, no sólo por su capacidad de trabajo, sino también por su permanente predisposición para buscar consensos y conciliar posiciones, que es lo que hace falta hoy en la Argentina".

No initial damage after Argentina 6.2 quake

BUENOS AIRES (Reuters) - There were no immediate reports of damage after a 6.2-magnitude earthquake shook northern Argentina on Thursday, police and local authorities said.
The quake was located 87 miles northeast of Salta, said the U.S. Geological Survey, revising the magnitude up from an initial reading of 6.0. The quake struck at a shallow depth of 5.9 miles, it added.
An official at the world's biggest copper mine, Escondida, in the north of neighboring Chile, said workers did not feel the tremor.

I have never been especially impressed by the heroics of people who are convinced they are about to change the world. I am more awed by those who struggle to make one small difference after another.
They can conquer who believe they can.

I've grown to realize the joy that comes from little victories is preferable to the fun that comes from ease and the pursuit of pleasure.
As a scientist, I am not sure anymore that life can be reduced to a class struggle, to dialectical materialism, or any set of formulas. Life is spontaneous and it is unpredictable, it is magical. I think that we have struggled so hard with the tangible that we have forgotten the intangible.
Feeling grateful to or appreciative of someone or something in your life actually attracts more of the things that you appreciate and value into your life.

Em va dir, a les fosques, en silenci, i no li vaig voler fer cas. Però quan estava al llit i el cel era un sostre negre sense finestres per obrir, em vaig aixecar com una bufetada de la matinada. El paper estava humit i me'l vaig menjar amb quatre paraules. Els silencis van desfilar alineats per la llibreta i ja podia veure el mar encara que tingués una escola davant la finestra. Ser que no tothom dorm, però és com si així sigués, a soles amb mi mateix em descobreixo de nou, amb més arrugues als sentiments, amb més abraçades que m'esperen en un port, on l'aigua sovint desborda vaixells, fins i tot fa relliscar algun somriure que circula per la carretera, i és culpable de les finestres que semblen ulls plens de llàgrimes, però també de les portes, que obertes, semblen somriures, on, cada matí estan disposades a néixer.

Escric cinc punts suspensius després de la mirada que m'escrius a l'acomiadar-te, ser que ets La Calma, però també ser que em portes més nervis. Escolto que "Les dents afilades s'han de mirar de cara i no apartar la mirada fins a poder-les combatre amb paraules" però no reconec la veu de qui m'ho diu ni m'importa.

Una calma cridant carícies, cridant nits despertes, cridant silencis, cridant en veu baixa, cridant orgasmes, cridant en pàgines que s'obren cada vegada que es tanca una ànima sota d'un llit que flota entre la melancolia i la ràbia.

It is better to wear out than to rust out.
No matter what I do, no matter how predictable I try to make my life, it will not be any more predictable than the rest of the world. Which is chaotic.
Is there life before death?
I am doomed to an eternity of compulsive work. No set goal achieved satisfies. Success only breeds a new goal. The golden apple devoured has seeds. It is endless.
Anger at lies lasts forever. Anger at truth can't last.
Nothing is impossible. Some things are just less likely than others.
Our lives teach us who we are.
